Maddie Hope- South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD)
Last weekend the Jackrabbits clinched their postseason berth with a series win against Western Illinois. In game #1 of the series Maddie earned her first win as a Jackrabbit, coming in for the eight inning and holding the opposition scoreless! Maddie and the Jackrabbits have their opening game in the 2017 Summit League Tournament TODAY against the third-seeded Western Illinois Fighting Leathernecks- a rematch of last weekend's games. UND had a great weekend at home against Southern Utah University, winning two games of the series and in the process earned their program's first trip to the Big Sky Tournament! Mary had a great weekend batting .375 over the three game series, including 2 RBI, 2 runs and on base percentage of .500. This weekend they head to Ogden, Utah for the conference championship- good luck to Mary and the Fighting Hawks!
Shaye Kemball- Mayville State University (Mayville, ND)
Although the Comets didn't make it out of the North Star Athletic Association Tournament last weekend, Shaye was named to the Conference Gold Glove Team! This award recognizes her stellar defense this year as pitcher, committing only one error in 61 attempts. Well done Shaye, see you back at Toba practices soon!
Zoe Hicks- Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, IA)
Unfortunately the Reivers were runners-up in the Region XI Tournament last weekend, falling to the Indian Hills Warriors in the 11th inning of the championship game. Congratulations to Zoe on a great freshman season, see you back in Winnipeg soon!
