College Update #7

Julianna Waldner- Columbia College Cougars (Columbia, MO)

Unfortunately the Cougars were rained out on Friday, BUT they did move up one more spot on the NAIA rankings to #2! Julianna and the Cougars are back in action on Wednesday this week with conference games ahead of four games in Arkansas this weekend.

Maddie Hope- South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD)

The Jackrabbits split last weekend's games against the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD.  Exciting news for Wednesday, though, SDSU is in Grand Forks to take on Mary and her UND Fighting Hawks!  Who's up for a day trip, some Ruby Tuesdays and some shopping to watch two Toba girls in action?!

Mary Martin- University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND)

Unfortunately the Fighting Hawks came away without a win last weekend against Weber State, BUT our Toba gal Mary had a couple of hits in the third game including a 3-run double.  Wednesday is the big home opener in Grand Forks against Maddie and her SDSU Jackrabbits!

Shaye Kemball- Mayville State University (Mayville, ND)

The Comets started off last weekend in Wisconsin with a win behind Shaye's great game on the mound, limiting the opposition to two runs on five hits.  Although that was their only win of the four game series, Shaye had a great game on Sunday, striking out 7 in a 9-inning loss.  This weekend the Comets also have their home opener in Mayville against Waldorf University.

Zoe Hicks- Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, IA)

The Reivers played a lot of games this past week...winning all five of them!  Zoe continues to contribute offensively to her team's success on a regular basis, most notably a two run triple in a big 10 run inning against Southeast CC.  She is also getting regular playing time at 1B, LF, RF and has even had a few innings on the mound.  Up next are games on Wednesday at home, then two double headers this weekend.
