College Update #4

Julianna Waldner- Columbia College Cougars (Columbia, MO)

The Cougars had a successful home opener weekend, outscoring their opponents 47-1 over two games, with Julianna contributing with a couple of runs.  Their games this week have been moved to Friday due to impending bad weather and then they also play a conference double header on Saturday.

Maddie Hope- South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD)

The Jackrabbits had great results during their big Florida trip, finishing 8-3 (including a 5 game winning streak!).  Next up is a tournament in Iowa City this weekend.

Mary Martin- University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND)

Although the Fighting Hawks would have liked to pick up a couple more wins on the weekend in California, one bit of exciting news is that Mary was behind the plate for Hannah Bergh's no-hitter against Hartford!  So awesome!  And even more awesome is that Mary and her team get to spend even more time playing in the sun at the Aggies tournament in California next weekend, too!

Shaye Kemball- Mayville State University (Mayville, ND)

The Comets are currently in Tucson, Arizona for Spring Break!  They split a pair of games on Sunday and have 8 more coming up in the warm weather before heading back to North Dakota next weekend.

Zoe Hicks- Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, IA)

Unfortunately Zoe's games were cancelled on the weekend...thunderstorms AND snow.  Hopefully they can get some games in this weekend as they start a week long series of games!

  1. Great to see the good results! The thing that kinda sucks is having to cancel the games due to bad weather condition.. All the best and enjoy your game! ^^
