The National Team Experience: Brooke's Log #4
Things were really busy this past week, Team Canada finished 5-2 at the World Cup of Softball, making it to the final against USA! Unfortunately we did not win but overall a great game was played by both teams. The final score was 5-2, but the team is getting better and better every game we play, showing how we are right in it with teams like Japan and the USA! My overall experience of going to California and playing in my first international national team tournament has been blast, not to mention the fabulous shopping and weather/scenery I encountered. The days may be long, but at the end of the week you realize how fast it went by and how much fun it was. Playing in these big games and pitching to such talented and experienced players is exhilarating, every time I hit the mound I get butterflies but in a good way. I love knowing that I have a strong team behind me, the girls are right it in with me, never missing a beat and always giving their all until the last pitch of the game! I am excited to to see what life brings this week- tonight we will be playing in the opening game of the Canadian Open against Spain! Wish us luck!
