Game Results- Wednesday July 17

Tonight the ladies faced Smitty's 95 U18 and for once we had enough players so Coach Niki and Manager Val didn't have to suit up!  There were lots of good things in the game- some great bunts, baserunning, slides and defensive plays.  Winner of The Hat was Taylor "Tay-ter Tot" Studler!  Taylor had a great game with a few RBI's, a great push bunt and her first slide into home since returning from injury.  She was very proud of how banged up her legs were after the game!

Now as for the photo...we fully expect a photobomb at this point in the season.  But some interesting things are going on all at once here.  We've got Coach Haylee trying to get in the action.  Jade looks like she's eating a pea, however she's not the one holding it...and then there's Coach Niki's gameday lipstick which is a whole story on its own...

I do have one correction to make from last week's game update.  Norlyn, Jill's mom, caught my error, and I will call it my error, because I was honestly only half paying attention to what Randall was telling me during the game.  Here is what really happened in the game when Jill pitched for both Team Toba and Smitty's Sr:

Jill gets the win as she left Team Toba in the lead, Reagan gets the save, Kaile Neal gets the loss as Jill re entered the game with Smitty’s and Kalie Neal left the game with Smitty`s behind.  A pitcher can`t have a win and a loss in the same game, even if its a 9 inning game.

This weekend Team Toba is in Brandon taking on Team Sask in two doubleheaders (Saturday at 1 & 3 and Sunday at 11 & 1 at Steve Clark Field).  Lots of photos and stories to follow!  T-Minus 2 weeks until departure!!!
