College Update #9

Julianna Waldner- Columbia College Cougars (Columbia, MO)

The Cougars keep on rolling, winning seven in a row and claiming at least a share of the AMC regular season title.  Their last double header of the year is coming up this weekend, and then it's off to the AMC tournament!

Maddie Hope- South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD)

The Jackrabbits took 2 out of 3 against the Wayne State Mastadons (yes, that is their team name...awesome!) and are looking ahead to their home series against Omaha this weekend.

Mary Martin- University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND)

The Fighting Hawks didn't come out ahead against NDSU last week but they did win their weekend series against Sacramento State.  Next up Mary and the team travel to Northern Colorado this weekend for a three game series.  Only three more weeks left until the Big Sky Championships!

Shaye Kemball- Mayville State University (Mayville, ND)

After falling to Dickinson on Friday in both games, the Comets rebounded on Saturday with Shaye having a great game in the circle.   In game one, Shaye allowed only two hits and one walk in seven shutout innings. She struck out six and also picked up two hits in the 1-0 win.  The Comets couldn't take the second game, and are now 16-18 on the year.  Next up are conference games on Thursday against Bemidji State and then two double headers in Jamestown this weekend.

Zoe Hicks- Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, IA)

The Reivers continued their winning ways last week, winning all four of their games.  Unfortunately their home double header was cancelled due to poor weather.  This week brings the last four games of the regular season, hopefully they can finish with some more wins ahead of the Region XI tournament next weekend.
