Tonight Team Toba took to the field against many former Team Toba players and the rest of the Smitty's Jr. squad. We had to fill in our line up with a couple of oldies...Coach Tara, Haylie Unger and Manager Val all made appearances.
Game 1 was a tight defensive battle, and unfortunately Team Toba just couldn't get it done and lost 2-1. Game 2 had a lot more offensive action, but Smitty's Jr. won that one as well. Winners of the hat were Manager Val (for not hurting herself, her RBI and two spectacular catches in left field) and Sarah Thomson for some great performances in both games both offensively and defensively.
Next up for the ladies is a practice on Friday night with some of the Varsity View U12 players, and then our next games are on Canada Day at Moffatt Field (9 am & 11 am). Congratulations to all of our athletes who graduated this month! Those long nails will have to go soon though...
