On Friday Team Toba took part in a sport psych session about performance anxiety management led by Coach Haylee. From all accounts it was a hit and everyone came away with some useful tools!
The girls went through a hitting visualization, the top ways to manage their own anxiety symptoms and learned some interesting ways to create "faux" anxiety symptoms, in order to work through it.
Another strategy the girls learned was how to release muscle tension and stress through focus and breathing. Below...they created a little muscle tension with some friendly wall sits...followed by a progressive muscle relaxation exercise...

it was a really tough workout today :)
Focused in on bringing our heart rates down to the 60-80 beats/minute target after doing a "fun" run of the sport for life stairs.
