Alumni Update Continued

Stef Sheard - Stef is in her second year at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and is their primary 3rd base player. This year Stef hit her first collegiate home run in of all places, Hawaii! Stef is also excelling academically. SFU has recently been declared as the best academic school in NCAA DII. So far this year, Stef has been noted as the first student in approx 4 years to have a "perfect" mid term exam in statistics and in her first semester she achieved the highest single semester GPA of any player in the history of the SFU Softball program. She is on track for an NCAA DII All Academic Award! Cross your fingers!! The photo is from March 22 in Billings Montana.








Mia Gautron - Mia plays for the Otero Lady Rattlers at the NJCCA Div I level, Region IX. After winning the Region IX championship and going one win short of attending the 2014 National Championship, the Lady Rattlers have fallen on hard times in 2015 and will be challenged to repeat the successes of the previous season with a 9 - 21 overall record. A coaching change has led to much upheaval. Nonetheless, Mia has shown much versatility, since joining the Rattlers playing mostly 1st base and some 2nd base during her first year. She has now settled in as the regular 3rd baseman. Mia's hitting hovers around the .370 average and leads the team in that category. To us Winterpeggers, Mia says she isn't suffering too much with temperatures registering 25 degree C last week.


Madison Hope – Madison has begun her Freshman year pitching with Loyola University of Chicago in the Missouri Valley Conference NCAA Division 1. Madison is leading her team in wins and era and sits currently in 6th place overall pitching in the MVC with a record of 5 and 7, 73.2 innings pitched, era of 3.61, and 53 strikeouts.  Madison also is currently holding the record for the most strikeouts in a single game - 12 Strikeouts.  Loyola Ramblers Team record currently at 10 – 15.
