The National Team Experience: Brooke's Log #2

It has officially been a full week on Team Canada and every day, I love it more and more. The team has been constantly working hard to improve and mesh better as a team.  It is awesome to see everyone always putting in 100% whether it is to practice or play.

Fortunately we were able to start playing a couple days ago! We had a couple exhibition games in BC and just finished the exhibition games in California. Yes California! The beautiful, yet hot State where we will be playing the World Cup - starting tomorrow (Monday).  We kick things off with a game against Japan.

During the past few days we have been practicing and playing hard to achieve personal and team goals to prepare for our first tournament. We even got the day off to rest and got to see a little more of California than just the ball field.  Funny thing is, even on our day off most of the team chose this beautiful day to enjoy the California sun while watching the Angels defeat the Houston Astros ( sorry Houston, I was routing for ya!).

I believe with the heart and preparation we have put into the game this past week that it will show on the diamond - especially in these big games coming up against teams like USA, Japan and even Mexico. Wish us luck!
