Pin trading has taken over the Games...the girls didn't really care about pins before they arrived but some of them have caught the fever. At the 2001 Games the Master Blogger was nicknamed "Pin Nerd"...and I guess I still am the Pin Nerd.
When pin trading it is essential to have your eye on the prize and not to settle for anything less. We're not into pins to make friends, we need those elusive pins! It is acceptable, however, to giveaway pins to volunteers who go that extra mile or to little kids who want one.
I expect the pin trading to heat up as we approach our departure on Saturday...there has been talk of some 21 year old athletes trading pins for a kiss on the cheek, and even trading pins for entire team uniforms. We'll see what comes of this madness!

All of the different sport pins. |

The 5-piece Nunavut Narwhal...pretty much impossible. Master Blogger has managed to get the whole set as of Friday morning though! |

These are the top 3 pins...I'd rank the husky as 1st, buffalo as 2nd and blue jay as 3rd. |

Master Blogger's collection...all provinces accounted for with at least one 2013 Canada Games specific pin from each. Boring flags don't count! |
