Coach Profile: Coach Wayne

Who is your favorite softball coach?
Dallas Escobedo ASU Division 1 softball. Stayed calm and cool winning the 2011 Women's College World Series as a freshman.

What position did you play back in the day?
First base in baseball, centre in basketball.

What is one of your top softball highlights as a coach?
My team's first provincial gold medal in softball and being able to celebrate the win with my daughter and the team.

What's one of the highlights of your life so far?
Having two beautiful daughters and watching them grow up.

What are you most excited about while attending the Canada Games?
I am most excited about being involved in a sport I have a huge passion for a an elite level and to see players and teams compete at the level of the Canada Games will be a highlight in my coaching career.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Where did you go to university?
Ferris State University, BSc in Technical Education, University of Manitoba, MEd in Adult and Post- Secondary Education.

What do you do for a living?
I am a Instructor at Red River College in Winnipeg Manitoba.

What is your favorite food?
Baked lasagna.

What is your favorite TV show?
Deadliest Catch.  Come on, Coach Wayne, didn't you tell us that The Batchelor was hands down the best show on television?

What is one of the best places you've traveled to?
ASU Farrington Stadium in Phoenix Arizona and The Grand Canyon was unbelievable!

What are some of your hobbies besides watching college softball?
Fishing and hunting.  And haven't you been riding that bike a lot lately?
