In lieu of the horrible rainy conditions Team Toba managed to pull through with a win against the Steelers. The final score of the game was 9-7.
Brooke pitched a phenomenal game featuring 14 strikeouts. Go Brooke!
Courtney took a pitch to the head, but luckily she was okay and able to continue on and score 2 runs for the team.
Brigitte demonstrated her speed and nimbleness outrunning a grounder hit to second base, and making an impressive dive into 2.
The team hit strong, however there were MANY unlucky line drive hits to centerfield.
"The Hat" was awarded to Tara for her massive 2 run homerun.
It is still raining...the rest of Saturday's games have been cancelled, so we're taking a trip out to the batting cages and then going for a team dinner. Better weather is expected for Sunday.
